— A VIRTUAL WORKSHOP —
The past year has turned many lives upside down.
Do you know what to say, what to do and more importantly, what not to do if your patient comes into your office ‘tweaked’, ‘geeked’ or ‘spun’?

Addiction affects one out of every 10 Americans. We all know someone who is addicted: a family member, friend, co-worker and even the patient sitting in your dental chair.
In this workshop, discover what addiction is and how easily it can affect anyone regardless of their age, income, ethnicity, education or status in life. Learn how to communicate with patients effectively and confidently without fear, judgement, or accusation. Recognize how to detect the physical, behavioral, and oral clues of methamphetamine; one of the most commonly abused and dangerous drugs in the dental setting. Learn how to develop realistic treatment plans utilizing the Meth Mouth Treatment Plan Assessment form. Learn how you can help addicted patients in your practice get on a road that can lead to recovery.
Are you tired of taking courses on substance abuse that don’t tell you what to do, what to say, or how to treat addicted dental patients? This course is for YOU!

What Attendees Are Saying...
“This workshop exceeded my expectations. I learned so much including the importance of more informative health history forms around substance abuse and the need to modify treatment for these patients. There is so much “tip-toeing” around substance abuse in practices that I want every practice to attend Dr. Brown’s workshop!”
-Kim Onley, RDA
“Dr. Brown is a natural at teaching and presenting. I am so happy that I attended the workshop, Breaking Bad and Breaking Through! I learned the details of drug abuse and addiction and how to identify and help patients with substance use disorders in my practice. One of the best ideas I learned was how to discuss substance use with patients with the role-playing exercise that we did. This workshop was extremely educational and Dr. Brown did an exceptional job. The time flew by! In all honesty, I’ve never had a 2-day Zoom workshop fly by as fast as this one!”
-Mary Shipp, DDS

“Dr. Brown’s teaching style is rare. This is the first workshop that I have ever attended that kept me completely engaged for 2 days! The information was practical for day-to-day dentistry and the group exercises solidified my learning and comfort with the subject! Thank you, Dr. Brown. You did a great job.”
-David Duhon, DDS
“Participants will learn so much from this class about the oral effects of methamphetamine but also will learn the importance of trust, empathy and compassion with patients with substance use disorders. Despite the heaviness of the topic, this course was fun and interesting!”
-Jamie Hammond, RDA
“What do you do when your patients’ teeth are so decayed that your typical restorative options are not an option? How do you discuss the damage a methamphetamine habit has on your patients’ abilities to maintain their teeth? Dr. Ronni faces these dilemmas on a regular basis and her insight is invaluable. Everyone who treats decay should attend this seminar!”
-Kim Harms, DDS
“I loved the workshop. It was truly a wonderful experience. I really appreciated the treatment strategy part and how to treat the high caries rate and salivary flow issues of methamphetamine users. The breakout groups were great. I now understand about both addiction and sobriety and the challenges associated with both. Dr. Brown shed a whole new light on the topic of addiction and dentistry”.
-Monica Bruce, DDS

“I had an awesome time and learned a lot. The format was really engaging and interactive. This workshop will help me properly develop treatment plans for patients who are meth users.”
-LaRon Cotton, DDS
“This information is crucial to serving our patients. Addiction and methamphetamine are everywhere and as dental professionals we can be a force for good and quality dental care if we are educated and equipped. Your book, A State of Decay, and workshop, Breaking Bad and Breaking Through, are mandatory in my opinion! Excellent work, Ronni!”
-Brandi Evans, RDH
